I'd be perfectly happy to boycott Papa John's but the fact is I've never bought one of their pizzas in my life, so my boycotting them won't make a big difference.

A side benefit of Obamacare might be that we get to see which employers care about their employees and which do not. I assume most of their employees do not get healthcare now and with a cut in hours they will be pushed into working somewhere else if they have any other options. Quality will probably suffer.

Honest question. So what did he do in Massachusetts with Romney Care? He has stores there. So does a lot of other franchises who are now not only crying but threatening workers. What did they do and how did they do it?

I went to a PJs years ago. Pizza was worse than frozen supermarket pizza. So, no, I won't be boycotting them because once was enough for me. Their product stinks.

I guess I can add them to my list of places I have never eaten at that now I have an ideological reason not to eat at. There is actually one in Berkeley, which is more convenient for me to boycott than Chick-Fil-A. The nearest Chick-Fil-A is in Walnut Creek, and the chances of my ever being in Walnut Creek looking for a trayf chicken sandwich seem vanishingly small.

Schnatter made headlines over the summer when he told shareholders that the cost of a Papa John’s pizza will increase by between 11 and 14 cents due to Obamacare.

What a business. Lousy pizza, workers paid as little as possible, undemanding customers.

Rumor has it that Domino's Pizza - as right wing a corporation as there's ever been - will do the same thing.

I don't believe for one minute corporations like this can't afford to provide health coverage for their workers in accordance with Obamacare. Domino's in particular has never seen profits as high as they are now, and the only thing they're trying to do is prevent any encroachment on that.

If they go through with this as well, Domino's should be boycotted too. This is unconscionable.

It's a mini-version of a Randian capital strike, with those who fancy themselves her 'prime movers' refusing to go along with a bad law passed by the 'Looters' in Washington DC.

How the hell did the Muslim Communist in the White House forget to confiscate that? I just can't believe the level of oppression America's rich have to toil under since the Marxist took over the government.

I don't eat at pj's anyways. So this is an easy boycott for me to observe.

I don't believe him when he says he does not care one way or another about the new health care mandate. I do not believe him about any of this at all. Again another New Republican who ignores reality.

This shows he is full of shit

re: #4 SanFranciscoZionist

Are you keeping track of right wing businesses that are claiming they are punishing employees (something I was actually resisting accepting as truth and giving the benefit of the doubt to them) or shall I?

Anyone?

Sure. Here's one.

In case people have forgotten,

"Murray Energy was just ordered to pay $1.7 million in fines for having unsafe work conditions. The owner is trying to distract the public from the fact it was his company whose subsidiary saw 7 miners killed a couple of years ago. The owner is strategically trying to blame the president's policies for its failure to protect its miners by laying off its employees now. It had already announced these layoffs in early August."

And why is coal consumption down?

"Coal demand from U.S. power generation companies is down 17 percent this year, according to the federal Energy Information Administration's most recent figures. That's due in large part to low market prices for natural gas, and has the EIA forecasting the lowest coal consumption in at least two decades by the nation's electricity industry."

This dirtbag also invoked God in his announcement, making him an even bigger prick, IMO.
